Brech, Edward Francis Leopold
(b. 1909) Gen Mgt
British manager, writer, and historian. A publicizer and developer of the theories of Henri Fayol and Frederick Winslow Taylor, in common with Lyndall Urwick. Brech’s Principles and Practice of Management (1953), sets down a structural and functional approach to management. In the 1990s, Brech completed a history of British management.
